Remember when we were little?
We would shamelessly ask a million questions about everything, and we’d have 15 follow-up questions, and they were all “why?” and yes, our parents would get annoyed by the 8th question, but we didn’t care.
We wanted to know things, and we were never afraid to ask.
When did we stop doing that? And why?
Even as children, we understood the best way to learn was to ask.
Think of all the things you never would have learned if you were too afraid to ask the questions.
How many opportunities would you have missed if you never asked about them?
For this week’s Tuesday’s Tips & Tricks, we thought it was important to tell you that asking questions is, and will continue to be, a very important part of your journey as a CC Stylist.
There is nothing to be afraid of.
Whether you’re trying to recruit Stylists or trying to sell products, there is never shame in asking questions. If you have fears or anxieties when approaching or messaging people, keep in mind that the very worst thing a person can do in this situation is say, “no” or ignore you completely. That’s it. That’s the worst case scenario. And if they do that, your day goes on just as planned.
Tip: Whenever I am in a situation where I am afraid of being shot down or rejected, I ask myself “will this matter two weeks from now?” and the answer is always “probably not.”
Being rejected is never fun, we know. But it’s temporary. And every “no” you get will make every “yes” feel that much better. (And trust me, you WILL hear “yes!”)
If you never ask, the answer is always NO.
This is true 100% of the time, and any time I’m afraid to ask someone something, I think of this exact quote. You should too.
We know it’s scary to put yourself out there, but remember that being open and vulnerable is a part of this process. It’s very much a key to your success– not just as a Stylist, but in life, too. As we have mentioned before, you are encouraged to share your “why.”
Tell people your story. Tell them why you decided to become a Stylist and how it has positively impacted your life. By doing this, you make it easier for people to come to you, making your recruiting and selling process even easier!
Don’t be afraid to ask each other for guidance.
We’re all on this journey together, Stylists. It’s important to remember that. Your success is our success, and we are all here to help. That’s the beauty of being part of a community and not just a business.
If you need suggestions, come to us.
If you need help for selling, hosting parties, or marketing, come to us.
If you ever have questions about anything, COME TO US.
And be sure to check in with your sponsors and other Stylists.
Each and everyone of you brings something different and unique and special to the table. We all have different stories and experiences, and we should never be afraid to share these to help each other grow.
We hope this week’s installment of Tuesday’s Tips & Tricks has helped ease your anxieties about asking questions, Stylists.
And remember: we’re all here for each other!
